Two chairs, one table, one box and two brilliant actors.
"A classical, great night at the theatre which has what it takes to be perennial."Jessica Düster, Choices: Kultur Kino Köln
The critics were unanimous about the elegance and functionality of the sparse stage design (two chairs, a table and a box).
Jessica Düster in Choices noted approvingly that there were no one-dimensional gender-stereotypical attributions of guilt, instead the complicated relationship was characterized by a "tense ambivalence", thanks to the excellent cast, with their extremely eloquent facial expressions and dynamic range of emotions.
Kölnische Rundschau agreed "Aurélie Thepaut gives a touching mixture of coquetry and despair, Richard Hucke is playing a spiritual illiterate with traumatic confidence."
