Living as we do in a country whose climate only affords the opportunity for bathing in anything besides bathtubs or saunas but once or twice a year, it’s only natural that we should use the power of film to create the illusion of an idyllic clime, where shapely young women splash about in Arcadian leisure, without shivering or goose bumps.
