The Night's Burden of Guilt

This radio play, written by the 33-year-old head of the Pope's broadcasting office, was part of a Swedish Public Radio series of experimental radio dramas.

About the production

Ingmar Bergman's direction received favorable mention, while reviewers found the play more banal than experimental. Sven Stolpe, a Catholic, was most positive in his assessment and called the presentation an example of 'a theatre for the people, a Biblia pauperum of sound'.
